This great excursion between by 4WD Expedition let you to have an unforgettable experience running through some of the most beautiful natural places in Bolivia, and a little bit of Chile. We start with the National park of Sajama, where you can see majestic volcanoes,  hot springs, geysers and of lost towns where the life follows the slow rhythm. . . the marvelous Uyuni salt flat which is the largest on earth with the largest lithium reserve in the world, millenarian giant cactus, magnificent perfect cone-shaped volcanoes, breathtaking lakes of different colors, extraordinary ochre-color deserts, and the native Andean fauna like wild vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, thousands of pink flamencos, Andean foxes, chinchillas, lots of bird species, etc. This is a trip you will always remember!

San Pedro de Atacama, this great one deserted it offers Sud America’s prettier landscapes that are the multicolored lagoons or the desert of salt perhaps. For the lovers of big spaces.  Powder omnipresent, few hot showers, fresh nights.

Day 01: La Paz - Sajama National Park: Pick you up from the hotel and departure by 4WD from La Paz and drive towards Sajama National Park. This park was the first created in Bolivia in 1936. It is considered as one of the most beautiful Andean park because of its magnificent high peaks, the Sajama Volcano with 6.542 m. the Pomerape 6.300 m. and the Parinacota 6.222 m. Once we arrive to the park, we’ll visit the Andean Native Trees Forest which is the highest on earth (5.000 m.). This Keñua tree forest is located at the foothill of Sajama Volcano and it is amazing how they can resist such as altitude. Later on we’ll visit Geysers and the little Hot Springs. Night in local accommodations.

Day 02: Sajama – Chipaya: After breakfast we continue the trip. We leave Sajama National Park towards Chipaya Village at the shores of Coipasa Salt Flat. This day you will enjoy of the plains in the Andes, full of small villages and lot of Llama herds; some of them live on making Llama Jerky, the best of Bolivia! Once there, visit to the village and the native population who still keep the ancient language and dressing. It is very interesting how women in town still braid their hair into thin braids like in Africa o Jamaica. You’ll also enjoy walking around the village with thatched roofs circular houses. They are supposed to be the direct ancestors of Tiwanaku civilization. Night in local accommodations.

Day 03: Chipaya – Tawa: We continue the trip leaving Chipaya Village and driving towards Coipasa Salt Flat at 3786 m. On the way we’ll stop to enjoy and photograph the stunning scenery and the small villages which live on salt-mining. Later on we’ll pass LLica Town and then we drive along the northwest part of the Uyuni Salt Flat; afterwards we arrive to our last stop, the village of Tawa settled down at the foothill of Tunupa Volcano. (Accommodation at 3.680 m.). Local accommodations.

Day 04: Tawa – Inca Huasi - San Juan: In the morning we will visit the pre-Incan mummies of Coquesa at the foothill of Tunupa Volcano. This archaeological treasure belongs to the transition time from Tiwanaku civilization to the Incas. You will see how the rulers of these ancient groups used to be buried with their family, for instance. From this point the view of Uyuni Salt Flat is breathtaking; it is like a white ocean! Afterwards we arrive to Inca Huasi Island crossing Uyuni Salt Flat. Walking visit to the Island going up to the top from where you’ll the Trichoreus Millenarian Giant Cactus, some of over 30 feet high; and they grow only one inch every 2 ½ years. In the afternoon we drive south on the plateau and stay at San Juan Village.  Night in local accommodations.

Day 05: San Juan - Colorada Lagoons: We visit to the archaeological museum in the village and later we’ll be ready for a journey across spectacular landscapes and salty lakes with different colors. Cañapa Lagoon, Hedionda (Stinky) Lagoon, Honda Lagoon, Chiar Khota Lagoon and Ramaditas Lagoon. Most of these lagoons have beautiful Pink Flamingos of the three species: The Andean, the Chilean and the Jamesi. Then we’ll be crossing through the arid and ochre-color Siloli Desert where you’ll see the famous Stone Tree. Some minutes later we arrive to the beautiful Colorada Lagoon (4.270 m). On the way to this extraordinary lagoon we see lot of native fauna: Wild Vicuñas, Andean Foxes, Pink Flamingos, Chinchillas, small birds and so on.  Night in local accommodations.

Day 06: Colorada Lagoon - Verde Lagoon - San Pedro de Atacama (Chile): Very early in the morning. We depart towards the crater of Sol de Mañana Volcano. We’ll feel the volcanic activity visiting the hot steam geysers and the volcanic boiling mud with different colors. They tell this mud is used for making cosmetics. Later we drive down to Polkes Hot Springs where you can take a nice warm bath into its perfect-temperature waters. After breakfast we go on driving through Salvador Dali’s Desert and we get to the stunning Verde Lagoon (4.400 m.) at the feet of Licancabur Volcano; considered one of the most complete and beautiful volcanoes on earth. Later we get into Chilean land driving from the border to San Pedro de Atacama. After it the immigration offices located on the border where they transfer out to San Pedro de Atacama arrival approximately at 13:00 Hrs.  And end of our services.
