Day 01: La Paz – Sajama Volcano Base camp (3.650 m- 4.700m): In the morning pick you up from the hotel and departure from La Paz by private vehicle on the highway to Oruro arriving in Patacamaya (village between Oruro and La Paz) then We continue the trip to reach in four hours the National Park of Sajama, from there we ascend on foot to the Base Camp (4.700m.)Where we admire the landscape of the High Plateau, we reach in 3 hours to the base camp, night camping.
Day 02: Base camp – High camp (5.700 m): After breakfast we start the ascent to the High Camp (5700 m) for 6 hours aprox. The path is difficult because it is sandy and rocky. Arriving at the High Camp at 16:00 where the guide sets up the tent and prepare the dinner while we have leisure time. After dinner we rest.
Day 03: Sajama (6.542m) – Base camp (4700m): The ascent to the Sajama is very long. We begin the ascent towards the summit of Sajama (6542 m) by way of the glacier which takes 6 hours. At an altitude of 6000 meters there is a wall with a slope of 50° and a length of 100 meters. From this point we use the ice ax with more frequency. After this stretch we arrive at a relatively simple path and afterwards we reach the Summit. It is necessary to spend 14 hours in the ascent and the descent to the base camp where we spend the night or the hot spring to the local accommodations.
Day 04: Base camp – Sajama National Park (4.270m): Thermal Waters. From the base camp we descend in 2 hours to the Sajama National Park. Visit to the Sajama National Park and a take a bath in the thermal waters. We spend the night in lodging near the Sajama town. Return to the city of La Paz arrival to your hotel and end of our services.
