Day 01: Puno – Urus floating island: Departure from Puno and sail for the isolated Uros floating islands, built from layers of totora reeds that grow in the shallows. Stay with a local family on the lake and enjoy a trek and a game of soccer or volleyball on a local island. In the afternoon we cross the border into beautiful Bolivia arrival to Copacabana. Night in a hotel.
Day 02: Copacabana: After breakfast making a short sightseeing in Copacabana. We will spend the first day by visiting the calvario a good tower watch, in order to watch the great view of the lake Titikaka. Also we will visit the Orca del Inca. Night in Copacabana, in a hotel.
Day 03: Isla del Sol: This day we take an excursion on board of a motor boat we’ll start sailing on the highest navigable lake in order to visit the south section of the sacred Isla del Sol. There are two main attractions: The Yumani area where we will find the fountain of water which is supposed to grant eternal youth and Pilcocaina area, a mysterious Inca site. According to the legend the Inca Empire began on this land. The Inca couple Manco Kapac and Mama Ojllo appeared here and founded the Sun Empire. It is ideal to make a short hike getting uphill the Incas stairs, the youth eternal water.
We will spend the second night in Yumani in local accommodations.
Day 04: Lake Titicaca – Copacabana – La Paz: This day we will get again a motor boat in order to reach Copacabana, we will have lunch and trip to La Paz city by transport. Along the way you will observe imposing view of the Royal Andean Range as well as the Lake Titicaca. After three and a half hours arrival to the hotel in La Paz.
