About Us     Contact

Ernesto “Che” Guevara wanted to start a revolution in many countries in South America just like he did with Fidel in Cuba in 1959. The key, just like they did in Cuba, was to push country people in Bolivia to a revolt against first world countries. He failed on it because he did not have the backing of the Bolivian communist party. The ideas of “el Che” became the ideas of many people in later generations in South America. In Bolivia “el Che” still lives as a symbol of liberty for the students in many universities. In 1967 he and his companions were killed in Yuro and La Higuera by the Bolivian army; one of them was “Tania la guerrillera” (Laura Bauer); some others like the French Regis Debray were judged and punished with 30 years in jail.

We invite you to come to remember this unforgettable event of the Bolivian history where the scenery and the natural beauty are well worth the detour.

Day 01: Santa Cruz – Camiri: Departure from Santa Cruz city we drive 3 hours to the village of Camiri. In the afternoon we drive to the village of Lagunillas the Guarani culture. (place where Debray was caught). Night in a hotel.

Day 02: Hotel Londres sheltered “el Che”: After breakfast. We visit Camp 3, whose oil wells have been at work since 1920 and the military casino (a favorite for the high life in those times). “Tania la guerrillera” stayed in this village. Debray’s jail is here and it is now an interesting museum. Hotel Londres sheltered “el Che”. We continue our trip until we reach the hamlet of “Vado del Yeso” place. Night in a refuge.

Day 03: Vallegrande village: Today we drive to the village of Vallegrande. We visit the hospital Malta that received the recently killed body of “el Che”, the hole where “el Che” and other companions were hidden and the “Remembrances Garden” where we visit the graves of “Tania la guerrillera”. Night in a hotel.

Day 04: La Higuera Village: After breakfast 3 hours drive to the village of “La Higuera” where “el Che” was locked in a room for his last night. Crossing Pucara. In the afternoon we visit El Picacho hill, the last campsite of “el Che”. Night in a refuge.
