The admiration after exploring the marvels of the South Lipez (region of condors and volcanos) in Potosi, Bolivia. A fantastic trip for Andean culture. The high plateau offers in this region some of the most disconcerting landscapes in South America: the great Uyuni Salt Flats, the multicolored lagoons, geysers and volcanoes. A circuit for the lovers of open spaces.


Day 01: Potosi – Tupiza: Departure from hotel at 09:00 by private 4WD. We will cross the Chichas region known for its local fermented corn beer, chicha. Then, we skirt the Frailes Mountain range before arriving to the pleasant village of Tupiza, the place where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid met the end of their legendary epic ( Trip about 6 hours). Night in a hotel.

Day 02: Tupiza – San Pablo de Lipez: After breakfast, departure at 08:00. We ascend to the Altiplano (high plateau) and reach a region rarely traveled by tourists. We continue our expedition to the wilderness where condors and ñandus have found refuge from the more frequented regions of South Lípez. In the afternoon, arriving at the village of San Pablo de Lípez (or to San Antonio, depending on the schedule).Night in local accommodations.

Day 03: San Pablo de Lipez - Laguna Verde: This day we will discover of the marvels of South Lípez. We will pass by San Antonio’s old village (abandoned by their inhabitants because they believed that the place had been possessed by the devil...). Later on, we will cross a pass at 4.550 m. on the Soniquera Volcano before beginning the descent to the village of Quetena. We skirt the Yellow lagoon and the Uturuncu volcano. After that, we will continue our trip to Laguna Verde (Green Lagoon), located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano (5.960 m.a.s.l.) Night in local accommodations.

Day 04: Laguna Verde- Laguna Colorada: We will continue our trip to the Salted lagoon after crossing Dali’s desert (called like this because of the landscapes that remind us one of the master’s paintings). Later on, to the geyser Sol de Mañana (4.850 m.a.s.l.), a volcanic crater with gushes of vapors of sulfur and mineral waters. Afternoon rest and prepared for next day. Night in local accommodations.

Day 05: Laguna Colorada – San Juan: Breakfast and departure. The path continues through the magnificent landscapes of the Siloli desert. Later on, we will ascent to the south along the so-called “Route of Jewels”: lagoons Chiarkhota, Ramaditas, Honda, Hedionda and Cañapa, sanctuaries of 3 varieties of flamingos. We will pass by the foot of two important volcanos:  Ollague  still active the Chilean side (.5.700 m.) and Tomasamil (5900 m.a.s.l.). Journey by the Chilean border crossing the Chiguana salt Flat and arrival to San Juan town(4.200 m.). Night in local accommodations.

Day 06: San Juan – Uyuni city: After breakfast. Visit  the town and the chullpares. Later on departure to Uyuni by 3 hours of travel from San Juan, we arrive at the Uyuni Salt Flats (3.650 m.a.s.l.), the biggest in the world. On the way we’ll stop in the heart of the salt flats, at Incahuasi Island (House of the Inca in Quechua). This place, covered by volcanic rock, is also known as the Isla del Pescado (Fish Island). In the afternoon, we will cross the Salt Flats to reach its west side. Along the road, we will visit the Colchani salt mines and the salt hotel. Stop to the train cemetery and arrival to Uyuni. Night in a hotel.

Day 07: Uyuni - La Paz: In the morning, departure to La Paz city crossing canyons, high plateau. Trip for about 8 hours by 4x4wd. Arrival to your hotel and end of our.
